What’s the Banana-Nail Trick?
Simply put: insert a few small iron nails into the peel of a ripe banana and let it sit for around 10 minutes. This quirky process begins a simple but powerful chemical reaction that benefits your plants.
How It Works
Iron Transfer: The moisture and acidity of the banana start to slightly corrode the nails, allowing tiny amounts of iron to leach into the banana.
Natural Fertilizer: Once the banana has absorbed some of the iron, it becomes a rich source of iron, potassium, phosphorus, and other nutrients — all essential for plant growth.
