Melatonin

This is a hormone that begins to be produced in the dark and signals the body that it is time to sleep. It is prescribed to treat sleep disorders.

Caffeine works in different ways: it stimulates wakefulness, prevents sleep, and reduces melatonin levels. If you drink coffee at the same time as taking the hormone, the expected effect will be weaker.
