Limestone is made of calcium carbonate, an alkaline compound, so it requires an acid to dissolve and remove it. Vinegar, for example, is a very useful product in this regard.
Vinegar and Lemon
The acids in both ingredients dissolve toilet stains and limescale deposits, also eliminating odor-causing microorganisms.
Mix 100ml of vinegar with the juice of one lemon and spray on the toilet surface. Wait 30 minutes, then flush the toilet and use a damp cloth to clean the exterior surfaces of the toilet.
