6. Bake the Cake

  • Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then, transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

7. Serve

  • Once the cake is completely cool, dust the top with powdered sugar if desired.
  • Slice and serve plain, or with fresh fruit and whipped cream for an extra special treat.
