Even Mr. Davis managed a small, awkward smile as he looked at his son and the other kids. The parents and neighbors who had gathered around began to disperse, many of them nodding in approval.
This incident brought the community together in the most unexpected way. Mrs. Johnson is now more appreciated than ever, and even Mr. Davis had a change of heart. Sometimes, it takes a village, and a group of determined kids, to make things right. Isn’t it amazing what great things we can do when we look out for each other? I know I definitely won’t forget about the lessons I learned last Saturday, and I hope you’ll keep them in your heart, too!
