How to Prepare Mango Seed at Home
Before using the seed, it must be properly cleaned and dried. Here is the correct method:
Step 1: Extract the Seed
After eating the mango, wash the pit to remove fruit residue.
Step 2: Open the Pit
Use a knife to carefully score the edge and pry the seed casing open. Inside you’ll find the soft, almond-shaped seed.

Step 3: Dry the Seed
Place the seed in a warm, ventilated area.
Allow it to dry completely for several days, or dehydrate it at very low heat until fully hardened.
Step 4: Choose How to Use
Once dried, you can:
- grind it into powder
- infuse it into oil
- use it to make creams or natural pastes
- store it for months in a dry container
