1. Quickly mute calls and notifications

Are you in a meeting, in a library, or just busy, and  your phone starts ringing  ? Rather than panicking by suggesting to pick it up or searching through the settings,  simply press the volume button  to immediately silence the ringer.

The call will not be rejected, but it will continue to ring silently , giving you time to decide whether you want to answer it.

This trick also works with alarms and notifications  : a simple press is enough to  mute them without disabling them completely .

2. Quickly turn off the flashlight

Your flashlight has served you well in the dark, but  you don’t want to unlock your phone  to turn it off?

On some smartphones,  double-press the volume down button  to instantly turn it off.

Tip  : If this feature is not enabled by default,  check in the quick settings  or use a dedicated app.

3. Adjust volume without opening settings
