Traditional representative doughnuts are often covered with a thin layer of caramel (melted sugar softened with cream or butter).
Filling:
Cut the cooled doughnuts in half, fill them first with the yellow cream and then pipe a layer of whipped cream on top. Place the “hat” on top, sprinkle with icing sugar or drizzle with caramel and serve chilled.
