Steel wool in the washing machine and baking soda, here’s how it works
Take the baking soda and put two or three spoonfuls in the drum of the washing machine.

 

Immediately after, add the metal sponge and run a wash cycle. Then wait about a quarter of an hour, remove the sponge and finish the washing process.

Once this is done, you will find that the scouring pad, along with the baking soda, has not only thoroughly cleaned your drum, but has also eliminated bad odors and everything is as clean and fragrant as it once was.
