Cleaning the toilet is never a pleasant task. Between limescale deposits, bad odors, and bacteria, we often resort to harsh, expensive, and sometimes environmentally harmful products. But did you know that a simple tube of toothpaste can be a surprising solution? By placing it in your toilet tank, you can effortlessly keep your toilet clean and fresh for several weeks. Here’s how to do it.
Materials needed
A tube of toothpaste (any brand)
A needle or pin
Household gloves
Access to the toilet tank
The ultra-simple method
Prepare the toothpaste tube:
Cut off one end of the toothpaste tube.
Poke several small holes all over the tube with a needle or pin.
Open the tube cap to allow the paste to gradually release.
Place the tube in the reservoir.
Lift the toilet tank lid.
Place the tube at the bottom of the tank, making sure it doesn’t interfere with the flushing mechanism.
