On January 26, 2009, six boys and two girls were born in the US by cesarean section. Nadia Suleman, who was already a mother of six, became a mother of fourteen without the financial assistance of her husband.
She was thirty-four years old.

Nadia was dubbed “Octomom” and became the target of both adoration and criticism. She has attempted to monetize her children via reality TV and other ventures, but she insists that she loves them and did not have them for the sake of fame or fortune.
