This meat is destroying your body, and we eat it in large quantities! Remove it from the menu immediately!
It is difficult for many to imagine a diet that does not include meat at all, but we should still consume meat and its products less often, because if we eat them every day, it can have bad consequences for our health .
It is known that meat is rich in proteins that our body needs, so for example chicken is a popular choice even when we are trying to lose weight, and many doctors recommend that we reduce our intake of red meat, as well as processed foods.
Which meat is the best choice?
Gastroenterologist Vojislav Perišić answered this question during an earlier guest appearance on the First Television program.
“You should eat a piece of meat for lunch every day, you can eat soy, but I don’t like soy. The best quality meat, let me tell you, when you go into an American butcher shop, it’s usually beef. And not veal or beef. Why? It’s very red, which shows the iron content, and where there’s iron, there’s zinc,” he said.
When you take a piece of beef, you often have a whitish fat, it’s healthy, it has vitamin D. Beef is also cheap and it’s far better than pork. “Take only the leg of the pig, and when it’s dry, eat only the red part,” the doctor added.
What meat should we avoid?
Although meat is often a necessary source of protein for our bodies, some types of meat should be avoided due to their fat content. They can cause a buildup of bad (LDL) cholesterol, which can lead to clogged arteries and heart disease.
There are four types of meat that we should eliminate from our diet.
Steak
Classic ribeye contains 11 grams of saturated fat and one gram of trans fat per 115-gram serving, while filet mignon has 10 grams of saturated fat per serving of the same weight.
Although red meat is an important source of essential nutrients like iron and protein, excessive consumption, especially fatty cuts, has been linked to health problems. Dr. Kezia Joy says that fatty cuts of red meat (such as steak) can cause inflammation in the body and weight gain when consumed in large quantities.
They are high in saturated fat, which can raise bad cholesterol (LDL) levels and contribute to heart disease.
