This is what will happen to you if you eat 2 dates a day for a month (Page 6 ) | November 24, 2025

A more recent study of 154 women compared 77 women who consumed dates late in pregnancy with 77 who did not. Researchers found that women who consumed dates required significantly fewer medical interventions to induce or speed up labor compared to women who did not.

Based on these results, researchers believe that consuming dates may facilitate labor and reduce the need to induce labor.

In addition to their nutritional value, dates can also help increase your intake of important nutrients during pregnancy, provided there are no other contraindications to consuming them. According to Lauren Manaker, a registered dietitian specializing in fertility and author of “The First-Time Mom’s Pregnancy Cookbook,” dates are rich in nutrients that support a healthy pregnancy, such as magnesium, iron, and calcium.
