In Ayurveda (an ancient Indian health system), sleeping on the left side is believed to support better digestion. This is because our stomach and pancreas are located on the left side, and lying on that side can help food move more smoothly through the digestive tract. It also promotes better elimination of waste through the lymphatic system, especially the spleen, which is more efficient when you’re sleeping on the left.
