How to Use Mint Oil for Hair Growth
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons mint oil (peppermint oil is ideal)
- 2 tablespoons carrier oil (such as coconut oil, jojoba oil, or olive oil)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Oil Mixture:
- Combine Oils: In a small bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of mint oil with 2 tablespoons of a carrier oil. This dilution is important to avoid any potential irritation, as mint oil is very potent.
2. Apply to Scalp and Hair:
- Massage In: Using your fingertips, gently massage the oil mixture into your scalp. Focus on areas where hair is thinning or where you want to encourage growth.
- Distribute Through Hair: Once your scalp is covered, work the remaining oil through the length of your hair to ensure it’s evenly distributed.
3. Let It Sit:
- Leave On: For best results, leave the oil in your hair for at least 30 minutes. For a deeper treatment, you can leave it on overnight, covering your hair with a shower cap to avoid staining your pillow.
4. Rinse and Shampoo:
- Wash Out: After the treatment time, rinse your hair thoroughly with warm water and shampoo as usual. You may need to shampoo twice to remove all the oil.
