Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, melted butter, and one egg. Mix until well combined and press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form the crust.
In another bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add the remaining two eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract to the cream cheese mixture, beating until smooth and creamy.
Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust in the baking dish, spreading it evenly.
Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set but still slightly gooey.
Allow the cake to cool completely before slicing and serving.
Variations & Tips
For a chocolate twist, try using a chocolate cake mix instead of yellow. You can also add a layer of chocolate chips or chopped nuts between the crust and filling for added texture. If you’re a fan of citrus, add a tablespoon of lemon or orange zest to the cream cheese mixture for a refreshing flavor. To make it even more indulgent, drizzle caramel or chocolate sauce over the top before serving.
