How can we explain this discrepancy? It’s all in the design of the illusion. The numbers in the center of the circle are surrounded by high contrast, making them more visible. But the further you move toward the edges, the more the contrast decreases, making the peripheral numbers almost invisible. A tip? Squint your eyes slightly to better discern the contours!
