Another very effective trick is to prepare a real trap for silverfish . Pour some oat flakes into a jar, which you will then wrap with tape. The starch in the oat flakes will attract the insects, which will climb onto the jar to enter, but from which they will no longer be able to escape, sliding on the glass.
If you can locate a silverfish nest, simply pour a little rubbing alcohol on it to kill it.
Remember that silverfish like humid places, so if possible, put some baking soda in a jar so it can absorb some moisture.
