A washing machine filter in need of a cleaning
Water Drainage
Some machines have a removable filter and also a small hose that allows you to drain the water from the filter. Of course, small objects like coins won’t fit through the hose, so you’ll need to remove them by unscrewing the filter. Be cautious about any remaining water that might spill out. Always place a towel under the flap before starting this task.
Cleaning
Simply removing the filter and draining the water isn’t enough. You also need to clean the filter thoroughly. Do the same for the area where the filter sits. Use warm water to clean it and avoid using cleaning products.
