If you ever have difficulty turning a key, follow these steps to prevent theft:

Pay attention to your surroundings. Be alert. If something doesn’t feel right, it probably isn’t. Don’t be afraid to ask for help or have someone walk you to your car.
Do not return to your car alone. If your door is stuck, do not return to your car alone. Find a busy, well-lit area and call for help.
