Why do orchids hate limestone water?
Imagine an orchid as a demanding plant that needs specific conditions to flourish. Limestone water, which is frequently found in tap water in France, can damage its fragile roots by leaving residues that prevent optimal absorption of nutrients.
The trick? A natural solution: add a few drops of lemon juice to your watering water. The lemon acts as a natural softener, lowering the pH of the water to approximate the conditions of its original environment.
Ideal dosing: 5 to 10 drops for one litre of water. But be careful, too much lemon can unbalance the substrate and stress your plant.
