With summer approaching, we’re increasingly dealt with these unwanted intruders: flies, midges, and other insects. These little critters often handle to infiltrate our homes, leading to not only irritation but also health concerns.
Fortunately, it’s possible to maintain them away without resorting to expensive insecticides or sprays. There are simple, natural solutions you can make yourself, free from harmful substances and with proven effectiveness.
Store-bought insect traps are often neither environmentally friendly nor economical because they consist of unwanted chemicals. Why not benefit from a homemade alternative made with ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen?
Plus, it’s much more popular, not to mention better for the environment. One of the most effective fly repellents is the apple cider vinegar trap.
This homemade trap applies the attractive power of vinegar to attract flies, which are angrily drawn to its fermented fruit-like scent. Simply prepare this trap and let nature do its work.
To do this, you will need:
a glass bowl
a little apple cider vinegar or balsamic vinegar,
a few drops of dish soap
plastic wrap
a toothpick.
Then add the dish soap to the vinegar. This will get rid of the surface tension, allowing the flies to sink as soon as they land on the surface.
