Procedure

Prepare the Lemons
Cut the large lemon into halves.
Insert cloves into the pulp of each half, covering the entire surface.

Prepare the Candles
Cut each candle so that it will fit securely into the middle of the lemon halves.

Assemble the Repellent
Place the clove-filled lemon halves on a flat, stable surface.
Insert the candle pieces into the center of each lemon half.
Surround each lemon half with four bamboo sticks, placing them evenly around the lemon.

Cover with Small Lemon Halves
Cut the small lemon into halves.
Use these halves as caps to cover the clove-filled lemon halves when the candles are not in use.

Use the Remedy
When you’re ready to repel mosquitoes, uncover the lemons and light the candles.
As the candle heats the lemon pulp and cloves, the combination releases a pleasant fragrance and repels mosquitoes effectively.
