When buying any kind of meat, you must check the elasticity of the meat. Use your hand to gently press on the beef, if you see a dent and this part does not return to its original shape, you should not buy it. Meat with no elasticity is often left to rot, eating it can easily cause illness.
Watery beef
To increase the weight and make the meat taste fresher, some sellers will inject more water into the meat. The water-injected meat should feel heavy in the hand, with a moist and smooth surface. Use your hand to press on the meat to see if water flows out and if the meat is mushy or dry.
If you see water in the meat, you should not buy it. In addition, with water-injected meat, sellers often leave a towel next to it to absorb it.
