Cooking Steps
Step 1: Prepare the Minced Meat Mixture
In a large bowl, combine the minced meat with 1 egg, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of pepper, and 200ml of 20% cream. Mix thoroughly until everything is well incorporated.
Add the chopped parsley to the mixture and fold it in evenly. Set aside for a few minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
Step 2: Prepare the Mushroom Layer 3. In a skillet, heat a small amount of sunflower oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. 4. Add the chopped mushrooms to the skillet with 1 teaspoon of salt and continue to sauté until the mushrooms release their juices and become golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
Step 3: Prepare the Baking Dish 5. Preheat your oven to 180-200°C (356-392°F). 6. Line a loaf pan or small baking dish with baking paper, ensuring the edges are fully covered. This will help you lift the terrine out easily once baked.
Step 4: Layer the Meat and Mushrooms 7. Spread half of the minced meat mixture evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish, pressing it down gently to create a solid layer. 8. Spread the cooked mushroom and onion mixture over the meat layer, spreading it out to cover evenly. 9. Add the remaining half of the meat mixture on top of the mushrooms, pressing gently to seal the layers together.
Step 5: Bake 10. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 20 minutes, or until the meat is cooked through and the top is slightly golden.
