1 – Choose the right location
To have beautiful roses, it is important to choose the right location. Roses like sunny and well-ventilated places. They need at least six hours of sunlight a day to grow properly.
Roses should not be planted too close together. It is necessary to leave at least one metre and a half between each plant. This allows the plants to develop well and have enough space to breathe.
Roses like rich, fertile soil. That’s why it’s important to prepare the soil well before planting them. The quality of the soil can be improved by adding compost or sowing green manures.
2 – Plant roses in autumn or spring
It is important to choose the right time to plant roses. In fact, if you plant roses in autumn, they will have the whole winter to rest and prepare for summer.
In addition, the soil is still warm in autumn and the roots of rose bushes can develop quickly. In spring, the soil is cooler and the plants need less water. Therefore, roses planted in spring are less likely to suffer from a lack of water.
