Follow these simple tips, and you’ll have the perfect cheesy potatoes in no time!
Ingredients
Potatoes: For best results, use Yukon Golds, red potatoes, or russet potatoes for fluffy interiors and crispy textures.
Butter: Use unsalted or salted butter, depending on your preference.
Garlic: Fresh, crushed garlic works best for flavor.
Seasoning: Salt and pepper to taste.
Cheese: Mozzarella or your favorite cheese for topping.
Instructions
Prepare the Potatoes:
Wash, dry, and quarter the potatoes.
Place the potato quarters in a muffin tin.
Top each quarter with a cube of butter, crushed garlic, salt, and pepper.
Bake:
Bake the potatoes at 180°C (350°F) for 50 minutes.
In the last 10 minutes of baking, sprinkle cheese on top and return to the oven until melted and bubbly.
Tips
Leave the Skin On: There’s no need to peel the potatoes; they taste even better with the skin on. Just be sure to wash them thoroughly with a vegetable brush.
Experiment with Seasonings: Feel free to use other spices such as fajita or taco seasoning, Italian herbs, or Cajun spice.
Add Protein: For a heartier dish, mix in crispy bacon bits or smoked chicken pieces at the same time you add the cheese.
Spice It Up: Add freshly sliced chilies if you enjoy a bit of heat.
