Beat the warm water with ⅓ of all the sugar and add the dry yeast. Beat again and let stand for 5 minutes.
Step 1
Add the remaining sugar, buttermilk, eggs, and melted butter to the yeast solution. Beat until the sugar dissolves.
Step 2
Add the flour to the wet ingredients and knead until smooth, about 10 minutes. Transfer to an oiled bowl, cover and let rest for 1 hour.
Step 3
Roll out the dough into a large rectangle.
Step 4
Use a cookie cutter to cut the dough into circles.
Step 5
Use a smaller round cookie cutter to cut out half of half of the dough circles.
Step 6
Spray a little water all around and place the circles on top with the hole in the center.
