At an Oxfordshire hospice, chef Spencer Richards pours love into every meal he prepares for those nearing the end of life. For him, cooking for terminally ill patients isn’t just a job—it’s a calling.
Speaking to The Mirror, Richards shared that there’s no greater privilege than bringing comfort to patients through food in their final days.
“As a chef, I believe serving someone their last meal is the highest honor,” he said. “Recently, a 21-year-old patient didn’t connect with the standard menu. He was young and preferred street food, so we made it happen for him.”
