It’s rare to find a box of matches in city apartments these days, but I stocked up on them when I encountered an unpleasant surprise in my closet. Typically, I prefer to leave repairs to professionals, but this required something different.

Having noticed a terrible smell coming from the toilets, I tried everything: detergents, scented blocks, intensive cleaning. But nothing happened.  Finally, I called a plumber.

An old master arrived, serious and silent. He listened attentively to my problem and took a box of matches from his pocket. I lit one and flushed it down the toilet. My surprise was limitless.
