“I’ve been hearing a lot of buzz about this layered chicken soup in the canning groups and various blogs lately. With so many enthusiastic reviews, I couldn’t resist trying it for myself. The vibrant images of it in jars caught my eye – simply stunning! Luckily, I found some great deals on vegetables and chicken this week, and you know when there’s a sale, you’ve got to make something special with it, right? Every recipe is an opportunity for personalization, so I made a few tweaks to the original.”
Here are the ingredients that I used. Amounts are approximate for a one-quart jar:

2/3 cup green beans
1/3 cup peas
1/2 cup cooked chicken meat (reserve the broth)
1 tablespoon onion, chopped

Cooked up my mom’s classic dish tonight and felt like a kid again after the first bite!
My hubby is beyond addicted to this stuff! We finish one serving and he’s asking when I can make it again
