In her letter, she directly addressed her 13-year-old son, criticizing him for treating her as a ‘roommate’ instead of a parent. To emphasize her message, she provided him with a detailed bill for rent, food, and other expenses amounting to over $700, effectively illustrating what life would entail if he genuinely desired to live independently.
She concluded the note with the words, ‘With love, Mom,’ clearly indicating that her intentions were rooted in affection. In a subsequent post, Johnson elaborated, assuring her critics that she never anticipated her son would actually settle the bill.
