Instructions

1. Prepare the Dough

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour, dry yeast, sugar, and salt together.
  2. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients. Pour in the warm water and stir with a wooden spoon until the dough starts to come together.
  3. Using your hands, mix the dough until all ingredients are well combined and the dough is homogeneous.

2. Knead and Let Rise

  1. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead it for about 10 minutes, or until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  2. Lightly grease a bowl with olive oil. Place the dough in the bowl, cover it with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.

3. Shape the Bread

  1. Preheat the oven to 230Β°C (450Β°F).
  2. Once the dough has risen, divide it into three equal sections.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, shape each section by hand into a round or oval shape. Place the dough on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Cover with a kitchen towel and let rest for another 15 minutes.

4. Prepare the Topping

  1. Use your fingers to gently press indentations into the surface of each piece of dough.
  2. Mix the sesame seeds and nigella seeds together. Sprinkle the seed mixture evenly over the dough. Cover with a kitchen towel and let rest for an additional 10 minutes.

5. Bake the Bread
