Salt and pepper to taste
2 apples, cored and quartered
2 onions, quartered
4-5 sprigs fresh thyme or rosemary
500 ml chicken stock
1-2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional)
1-2 tablespoons soy sauce (optional)
