Instructions
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt the Butter:
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- Mix in Sugar and Eggs:
- Stir in the granulated sugar until well combined. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract.
- Combine Dry Ingredients:
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Add Strawberries:
- Gently fold in the diced strawberries, being careful not to overmix.
- Bake:
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter). Let them cool in the pan.
- Prepare Ganache (Optional):
- If you’re making ganache, heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan until it begins to simmer. Remove from heat and add the chopped chocolate. Let it sit for a minute, then stir until smooth.
- Top Brownies:
- Once the brownies have cooled completely, pour the ganache over the top and spread evenly. Arrange extra sliced strawberries on top for decoration.
- Slice and Serve:
- Allow the ganache to set slightly before slicing into squares. Enjoy!
