Excess ice in the freezer is a common problem that affects many homeowners. Even regular defrosting does not always help, because sometimes the ice remains in place anyway, even after 4-5 days! But what can you do to prevent such problems? There is a relatively simple but effective way.
First of all, of course, it is necessary to defrost and clean the freezer, because with proper care, it is enough to defrost older refrigerators only 1-2 times a year. The fastest and easiest way to defrost is warm water and brine.
Place a bowl of warm water in the freezer and prepare a solution by dissolving 2 tablespoons of salt in 1 tablespoon of water. The resulting saline solution is poured into a spray bottle and sprayed evenly on the walls of the freezer. After a few minutes, the ice gradually begins to melt and can then be removed without damaging the surface using, for example, wooden sushi sticks.
